Rocky Ullum

Rocky Ullum

Starting in 2007 and over the next several years, Rocky Ullum spent a lot of time at French Hospital while both her husband and her elderly parents sought treatment for medical issues. Rocky was inspired by the excellent medical care her family received, as well as the compassion of the volunteers. When she retired in 2010, she immediately thought of volunteering at the hospital as a means of giving back. Today, she can be found volunteering at the lobby desk, assisting patients and visitors as she was once helped.

Volunteering has only strengthened her belief in French Hospital and the importance of exceptional health care being offered locally. When she recently revised her estate plan, she again thought of giving back to the hospital and decided to include a planned gift to the Foundation in the revision. It was a small change to make, but she knows it will make a big impact. Rocky chose for her bequest to support the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital, a cause dear to her heart after losing a loved one to cancer.

“It is a good feeling to know that my gift will help continue the good work of the hospital and the Hearst Cancer Resource Center,” says Rocky. “I encourage anyone considering a planned gift to French Hospital to make that gift with confidence and generosity and with the knowledge that it will benefit many people in our community.”
