Hearst Cancer Resource Center

Hearst Cancer Resource Center

The Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) at French Hospital is a one-of-a-kind resource in San Luis Obispo County for those living with cancer and their families, where all services are offered at no charge. The goal of the HCRC is to help those with cancer learn about the disease, recognize opportunities for improved health, build a personal support system, and gain a sense of extended family. The HCRC is dedicated to serving cancer patients and their families: ranging from those newly diagnosed with cancer, in treatment, in recovery, and beyond.

Programs and services offered include patient navigation, social services and support programs, nutritional counseling, treatment techniques, an Appearance Center, spiritual and therapeutic social activities, and the Jennifer Diamond Cancer Resource Library. Learn more >

Community Support

The HCRC was made possible by generous gifts from members of the Hearst Family, Hearst Foundation and other donors. These donations allow all cancer patients and families use of this unique center and its resources free of charge.

Continued community support is essential to maintain and grow HCRC programs and services. Donations are sought to contribute to ongoing programs and services, as well as to a specific endowment to preserve the long term funding of the HCRC.

100% of your gift stays local and helps patients at the HCRC.
