San Luis Obispo County's Only STEMI Designated Hospital

When a heart attack happen, seconds matter. French Hospital Medical Center is the only facility in San Luis Obispo County equipped and trained to treat an ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) or acute heart attack. A STEMI designation means that we have the training and equipment to treat you within 90 minutes, the time designated by the American College of Cardiology as necessary to achieve a hoped for good outcome. The Impact of Donor Support

Donor support has paved the way for continual advancements in the Copeland, Forbes & Rossi Cardiac Care Center, starting with the initial generosity from the Copeland, Forbes and Rossi families to create the Center. In 2014, the George Hoag Family Advanced Cardiac Hybrid Surgical Suite (pictured above) became the first of its kind on the Central Coast, thanks to generous support from the George Hoag Family Foundation.
