Gifts to the Area of Greatest Need allow the Foundation to support the current needs of French Hospital and our patients. The Foundation Board of Directors approves the use of these funds to purchase new medical equipment, the latest technology and provide support for special programs.

Beyond Health: Your New French Hospital

The Beyond Health is a movement to treat the mind, body, spirit, and community, creating wellness and happiness for every life we touch. The Beyond Health campaign will bring your Your New French Hospital to the Central Coast, featuring a new four-story Patient Care Tower that will double our capacity, single-patient rooms, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, new technology, holistic grounds and much more.

Copeland, Forbes & Rossi Cardiac Care Center

Recognized nationally, the Copeland, Forbes & Rossi Cardiac Care Center is home to San Luis Obispo County’s leading heart care specialists. Opened in 2007, the Cardiac Care Center includes expert emergency staff, the best heart specialists and surgeons, and state-of-the-art surgical suites.

Copeland Health Education Pavilion

The Pavilion is a community hub for health care education, providing a variety of preventive health education classes to the community through our Community Wellness Program, free of charge. The Pavilion also houses two advanced learning facilities: the Institute for Health Education and Research and the James R. Flanagan Simulation Learning Center, which features two full-size simulated hospital patient rooms for training medical professionals.

Hearst Cancer Resource Center

Since 2008, the Hearst Cancer Resource Center has provided thousands of cancer patients and their families with unique resources for addressing the physical, emotional and physiological issues associated with a cancer diagnosis, all at no charge. The Center offers more than 20 programs and services designed to help patients and their families through their cancer journey.

Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center

At French Hospital Medical Center, our Family Birthing Center focuses on family-centered care, with your baby born in a private room and cared for at your bedside. Thanks to community support through the Foundation, French Hospital recently expanded the Family Birthing Center to include additional private birthing rooms, a new family waiting area, an upgraded nursing station, a new C-section suite and an acute care nursery.
