Paul and Bridget Ready

2018 Louis Tedone, MD Humanitarian Award Recipients

Paul and Bridget Ready champion the causes of children in San Luis Obispo County who have illness, disabilities and special needs. In 2006, they founded the nonprofit Jack’s Helping Hand after losing their son Jack to a three-year battle with brain cancer. Jack’s Helping Hand is now celebrating nearly $2 million in assistance given to local families.

Paul is a principal at law firm Farmer & Ready and has served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Luis Obispo, board member of the Cuesta College Foundation, and president of San Luis Obispo Rotary de Tolosa. Bridget is a teacher in San Luis Obispo and a spokesperson for the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto. In 2009, Paul and Bridget received the Children’s Health Initiative Champions for Children Award. We are grateful for their tireless efforts to support children in our community with special needs.

Paul and Bridget will be presented with the 2018 Humanitarian Award on August 25, 2018 at the Celebration of Caring Gala. To congratulate Paul and Bridget, you may place a tribute message in the gala program. For more information, contact us.
