Rick Stollmeyer co-founded MINDBODY in his garage in 2001, and today serves as the company’s CEO and principal visionary, ensuring that everything the company embraces – from product line to business development to team member enrichment – serves the company’s purpose: help people lead healthier, happier lives by connecting the world to wellness. Today, MINDBODY powers over 60,000 fitness wellness businesses worldwide, and connects the hundreds of thousands of wellness practitioners they employ to tens of millions of people seeking to live healthier happier lives.
Rick believes in giving back to his community. His philanthropic efforts on the Central Coast include funding scholarships for lower-income and underrepresented minority students at Cal Poly, providing ongoing support to the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and SLO Hothouse, funding year two of the Cuesta College Promise Scholarship, and funding the creation of the Community Counseling Center Student Mental Wellness Accelerator Program. An avid supporter of French Hospital, Rick gave a substantial gift to support the creation of the Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center and has been an ongoing supporter of the Hearst Cancer Resource Center.
Rick’s passion for expanding educational opportunities, promoting local entrepreneurialism, fueling regional economic development, and enhancing health and wellness is making a significant impact in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties.
