Louis Tedone, MD

French Hospital has played a very important role in Dr. Tedone’s life, both professionally and personally. He was one of the first physicians recruited to French Hospital by Dr. Edison French, French Hospital’s founder, and he enjoyed a 50-year career as a pediatrician in San Luis Obispo County. He is a truly beloved member of the San Luis Obispo community.

Dr. Tedone has also been a patient at French Hospital over the years, having a complex, five-vessel cardiac bypass in 2001. With the addition of French Hospital’s electrophysiology program, he was able to have an ablation procedure to correct persistent arrhythmia in 2017. 

“I feel very fortunate that these procedures can be done at French, where I am treated like family. Having these procedures done locally avoids the inconvenience and cost of traveling out of town” Dr. Tedone says.

His unique perspective as both a physician and a patient prompted him to consider how he could make a lasting impact for future patients at French Hospital: “I set up a legacy gift to help French Hospital continue providing excellent care.”
