2013 Louis Tedone, MD Humanitarian Award Recipients

John and Sandy Dunn represent the true “spirit of giving back” to their community.  Together, they have logged an incredible amount of volunteer hours to support a variety of non-profit organizations devoted to the arts, health care, social services and education.  Both combine compassion and commitment with strong leadership and business skills.  This combination has touched so many lives in our county; it is hard to imagine where their gentle but strong footsteps have not been.  From the Performing Arts Center to the Symphony, from French Hospital to the Women’s Shelter, these represent only a few organizations that have benefited from their passion and dedication to make San Luis Obispo a better place today and in the future.  Both John and Sandy represent the genuine meaning of human kindness and dignity.
