2012 Louis Tedone, MD Humanitarian Award Recipient

Through his extensive volunteer and charitable efforts, Jim Sargen has demonstrated remarkable commitment to improving the quality of life in our community in such areas as the arts, education and health care. Jim has held numerous leadership roles with the Foundationfor the Performing Arts Center, Cuesta College Foundation, YMCA, Cal Poly, and the Foundation for the California Community Colleges. Jim was also a founding member and past Board Vice Chair of the French Hospital Medical Center Foundation.

Jim’s commitment to the well being of others emerged in his business efforts with the creation of health-focused TriActive America, Inc., an outdoor fitness equipment company. His ongoing dedication to community service and volunteering has earned him numerous recognitions over the years, including Philanthropist of the Year from the Central Coast Community Impact Awards and Network of California Community Colleges.

French Hospital Medical Center was proud to present the 2012 Louis Tedone, M.D. Humanitarian Award to Jim Sargen, a true philanthropist and esteemed member of our community.
